Medicare Enrollment Periods
Initial Enrollment Period (IEP)
Your first chance to enroll in Medicare — starting 3 months before you turn 65 and ending 3 months after your Medicare start date.

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)
October 15 – December 7: A time to review your coverage and make changes for the year ahead. Changes take effect January 1.
AEP options
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment
January 1 – March 31. If you’re already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch plans or return to Original Medicare.
